The conservation of migratory birds requires an understanding of the distribution and potential threats to their migratory habitats. However, although migratory birds are protected under international treaties, the transnational areas important for migratory routes are not always conserved. The storymap highlights the most important routes for migratory birds and underscores the importance of protecting stopover areas along these migratory routes.
