The Luanda Financing Summit for Africa’s Infrastructure Development took place from 28–31 October 2025 in Luanda, Angola, under the patronage of H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of Angola and Chairperson of the African Union. Co-hosted by the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), the Summit convened African leaders, investors, and development partners to accelerate infrastructure financing across the continent.
With the theme “Capital, Corridors, Trade: Investing in Infrastructure for the AfCFTA and Shared Prosperity,” the Summit put a spotlight on strategic investment opportunities aligned with the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA). PIDA serves as the African Union’s blueprint for regional and continental infrastructure, and the Summit will provide a platform to advance its priority projects—particularly those that enhance cross-border connectivity, digital transformation, and climate-resilient urban development.
