Protected Areas Dynamics in Africa

Protected areas in Africa play a critical role in biodiversity conservation, supporting livelihoods, and mitigating climate change. This tool offers a comprehensive analysis of the dynamics of protected areas by country across the continent, examining their evolution, current status, and emerging trends. We employed a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating remote sensing data to capture the complex interactions between ecological systems and human activities within and around protected areas.
