The Request for Expression of Interest focusses on African–European partnership for co-designing regional pilots that demonstrate impact-based forecasting (IbF) services and tools. These pilots will focus on upstream aspects of the early warning value chain, leveraging European and African expertise, data, and infrastructure to deliver sustainable solutions.
Why submit an Expression of Interest?
• To engage early with the forthcoming SEWA Regional Pilots Call for Proposals, expected in June/July 2026.
• To showcase expertise and indicate interest in contributing to innovative IbF solutions.
• To network and collaborate: Entities submitting an EoI will be invited to a SEWA Information and Networking Session in March 2026, designed to foster partnerships and the formation of consortia.

Who can apply?
Participation is open to legal entities from ECMWF Member States and those eligible under the EU’s NDICI Regulation. African and European NMHSs are particularly encouraged to express interest.
