The West Africa Workshop takes place in Lomé, Togo, from 22nd to 24th June 2026. It will explore the interactions between urban and rural environments and ecosystem sustainability in West Africa focusing on challenges such as pollution, land conversion, deforestation and unregulated urban growth in coastal cities.
The workshop will examine how integrated assessment models can support more regional planning and ecosystem management. It will also promote capacity-building across the thematic components supporting partners including CSE, CORAF, UCAD, Mercator Ocean International and encourage youth organisations and innovation engagement through data-sharing regional cooperation.
